Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join the APNT team at Harlow. You will help create Digital GPS Anti‑Jam Systems for the military market, reporting to the APNT Digital Engineering Manager. The role is based at Harlow with hybrid working (minimum 3 days on site).

You will work with embedded systems, software, RF and mechanical engineers to develop requirements, review designs and generate design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded digital electronics, microprocessor systems.
  • Experience of working with ADC/DAC.
  • Experience of working with memory devices such as SRAM/Flash.
  • Experience working with FPGAs and SoC technologies.
  • Experience of creating prototypes and turning them into production hardware.
  • Experience of supporting PCB designs in conformance with defence/airborne standards.
  • Experience with High-Speed Interfaces and signal technologies (LVDS, JESD).
  • Signal and power integrity analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, RS422.
  • Experience in design for manufacture.
  • Able to present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Openness to learn and try new techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers within the team.

Senior Electronics Engineer

Harlow, Hybrid (min 3 days a week on site)

Raytheon UK is looking for an experienced and high performing Engineer to join a successful Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team within the Global Sensors Mission Area, creating Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market. The role will be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility and the successful candidate will report directly to the APNT Digital Engineering Manager.

Main Duties:
  • Develop requirements to ensure compliance to the relevant standards
  • Work alongside our system engineers on architectures of electronic subsystems and own the design
  • Schematic creation, PCB design support, component selection, Perform circuit simulation, evaluation and verification
  • Work alongside embedded Systems, Software, RF and mechanical engineers
  • Generate supporting design documentation and perform regular technical reviews.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
  • Experience with embedded digital electronics, microprocessor systems
  • Experience of working with ADC/DAC
  • Experience of working with memory devices such as SRAM, Flash
  • Experience working with FPGAs and SoC technologies.
  • Experience of creating prototypes and turning them into a production hardware
  • Experience of supporting PCB designs in conformance with defence engineering standards/airborne standards

  • Experience using the Mentor Xpedition PCB design tool and SPICE
  • Experience of circuit simulation tools such as Simscape and creating spice models
