Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their electronics team in Cambridge. You will work on high-speed digital electronics across instrumentation and rugged devices, with access to on-site lab facilities and SMT capabilities.

The role emphasizes career development and a balance between demanding projects and a supportive environment. Candidates should have strong PCB design experience, familiarity with Altium Designer, PCIe interfaces, and FPGA technologies

Qualifications

• Solid fundamental electronics design experience for commercial-grade PCBs, including schematics capture and PCB layout using EDA software such as Altium Designer, along with board bring-up and diagnostics.
• Prior work with high speed digital design, including interfacing with PCI Express, modern DDRx memory standards, and comparable peripheral interfaces; and ideally work with PCBs hosting top end FPGAs (Xilinx / Altera).
• Practical experience resolving DfT and EMC considerations.
• A good degree in electronics, physics, maths or another technical subject, from a top university.
• Supporting skills with Linux toolchains, Python scripting and VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog HDL are useful additions.

A top flight electronics team are seeking a talented Senior Electronics Engineer to join them due to growing demand for the company’s expertise. You’ll get to work on a variety of projects around high speed digital electronics, from instrumentation to rugged devices. They have top lab facilities on site including SMT pick-and-place.

For this role you’ll need:
