Job summary

ProTech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in Luton with hybrid/remote options. The role involves taking ownership of complex hardware from concept to production for OEM customers across multiple sectors, including automotive and aerospace.

The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams, perform circuit design, simulation, and testing, and contribute to design reviews, documentation, and project timelines. UK security clearance eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics hardware design experience.
• Proven track record delivering designs from concept to production.
• Mixed analogue and digital design involving microcontrollers.
• Schematic capture experience, ideally Altium.
• Comfortable in a lab setting with PCB layout awareness.
• Experience with testing, validation and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic hardware from concept through to production.
• Circuit design, component selection, simulation and analysis.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers and review layouts.
• Board bring-up, testing, measurement and fault finding.
• Support EMC, validation, compliance and qualification.
• Produce technical specifications, reports and test documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and customer meetings.
• Identify technical risks and manage project timescales.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to other engineers.
