Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Orion is partnered with a leading turnkey solutions provider and processing equipment manufacturer, as they are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join and grow within the company. They deliver innovative solutions for industrial applications, providing reliable, efficient products tailored to their clients' needs.

The Role of the Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and product development of high-power systems. Your role will involve creating and implementing control electronics and embedded software solutions to ensure the delivery of innovative, reliable, and efficient products.

Responsibilities of the Senior Electronics Design Engineer
  • Design, develop, and test new power supply solutions for advanced industrial applications.
  • Integrate power supplies with process control systems.
  • Support product development from concept through to production, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to create technical proposals for bespoke equipment.
  • Provide cost estimates for technically challenging requirements.
  • Develop conceptual designs, electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and embedded software.
Requirements of the Senior Electronics Design Engineer
  • Experience in PCB schematic capture and PCB layouts (CAD).
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of embedded C, closed-loop embedded control systems.
  • Experience with mixed-signal circuit design, analogue and digital electronics, and embedded controllers.
  • Familiarity with power electronics design and system integration, including DC/AC, AC/AC converters, DC/AC inverters, and resonant circuit design (beneficial).
  • Experience with Test and Measurement equipment.
