Job summary
LA International is seeking a Senior/Principal Electronic Engineer for an on-site position in Weston-super-Mare. You will design analogue, digital and RF systems and drive projects from concept to manufacture while mentoring junior engineers.
Role involves high-density mixed-signal PCB design, board bring-up, testing and documentation, with collaboration across embedded software and mechanical teams. Security clearance is required or will be pursued.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong experience with Altium Designer.
- Proven analogue, digital and RF design experience.
- Experience designing high-speed mixed-signal PCBs.
- Knowledge of EMC, RF layout, impedance control and PCB manufacturing.
- Experience taking products from concept through to production.
- FPGA or embedded software experience is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Design analogue, digital and RF electronic systems using Altium Designer.
- Produce schematics, PCB layouts and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop high-density mixed-signal PCBs and support board bring-up, testing and validation.
- Work closely with embedded software and mechanical engineers.
- Support prototype builds, design reviews and technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
