Job summary

Expert Employment Limited in Cambridge, UK, seeks an Electrochemistry Battery Lab Technician to help prepare tests and evaluate battery materials, prototype cells, and energy storage systems for research, NPI and NPD manufacturing. In a clean room/dry room, you will assemble cells, prepare electrode materials and electrolytes, and perform electrochemical testing and data logging to assess performance.

Strong lab experience in battery prototyping is preferred, with emphasis on safety and precise

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, materials science, physics, chemical engineering, or battery lab environment.
• Practical laboratory experience ideally of cell prototyping or electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cell assembly and fabrication, in clean room and dry room.
• Prepare materials electrodes and electrolytes.
• Electrochemical Testing, cycling protocols charge rate tests, and cell performance.
• Record experimental data, maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot test instrumentation, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
