The Senior Electrician role sits in the Estates & Facilities Team at Oxford Health NHS Trust, covering electrical infrastructure across the Trust's sites. The work centers on planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis on complex building services, and small installation projects from planning to completion.

The post carries Electrical Authorised Person duties for low voltage systems, permits to work, and a one week in six 24/7 on-call rota alongside standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Course 232 Part 2 or Course 236 Part 2, or NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• Equivalent such as NVQ Level 3 in a relevant electrical engineering subject, or BTEC/ONC in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Act as Electrical Authorised Person for low voltage systems.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems.
• Assess infrastructure and propose upgrades and improvements.
• Deliver small electrical installation projects from planning to completion.
• Diagnose and repair faults on complex building services.
• Issue permits to work and ensure compliance with HTM guidance.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and contractors.
• Participate in the on-call rota and out-of-hours service.
• Contribute to estate resilience and development.
