Job summary

Southwell Electrical Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our growing team. The role covers installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding across domestic and commercial properties, with a focus on safety and quality.

Candidates should have at least five years on-site experience, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition BS7671, strong problem-solving skills, and a valid UK driving licence. DBS and additional certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.
• Install and connect wiring systems, containment, lighting, power distribution, and associated equipment.
• Fault-find and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective repairs.
• Conduct electrical inspection, testing, and certification in accordance with current regulations.
• Ensure all works comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant health and safety legislation.
• Complete works to a high standard, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively.
