Are you a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Technician looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? GSL Power, a premier supplier and manufacturer of lighting and power distribution products for the dynamic entertainment, film, and music sectors, is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to join our team in Exmouth.

We're known for providing robust touring equipment, comprehensive power distribution installations, efficient cable runs, and modular dimmers.GSL Power also offers custom solutions to bring unique visions to life.

In this hands-on role, you'll be crucial to our manufacturing operations, responsible for the assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical products and systems to the highest quality standards.This position is perfect for someone with strong soldering and electrical assembly skills, and experience being part of a team.

What You'll Do:

• Assemble and rigorously test electrical components and systems according to manufacturing specifications.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair portable electrical devices used in our production or supplied to clients.
• Perform high-quality soldering on a variety of electrical assemblies, mainly tri-rated cables and some through-hole and surface mount circuit boards.
• Ensure all work adheres to company procedures and industry regulations, including BS909 standards.
• Accurately document test results and maintain comprehensive service logs.
• Collaborate closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflow and product excellence.
• Potentially lead a small team, guiding junior technicians and ensuring project delivery.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Requirements:

• Practical electrical experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong soldering and electrical assembly skills on cables are essential (plus some through-hole and surface mount preferred).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading or supervising a small team is preferable.
• Experience working with portable electrical equipment (e.g., PAT testing, repairs).
• Familiarity with BS909 standards for electrical assemblies.
• Full UK driving license.
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., Excel, service tracking software, email).
