Job summary

Caval Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager for a long-term freelance role in Manchester. You will oversee electrical subcontractors and direct operatives, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will coordinate site activities, manage materials, and ensure QA and health and safety compliance across a major residential project. The role requires strong electrical knowledge, leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification required.
• CSCS card required.
• First Aid at Work qualification preferred.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors on live construction sites.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Manage direct operatives and daily site activities.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Manage material deliveries, storage, and allocation.
• Oversee and coordinate electrical subcontractors on site.
• Monitor installation quality and implement QA procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, and other trades.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
• Maintain accurate site records and reports.
