Job summary

Bimplus in Manchester seeks an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee a major student accommodation development. This freelance role runs for 12 months+ on a high-profile residential scheme.

You will manage electrical subcontractors, coordinate direct labour, and ensure compliance with RAMS and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has proven site leadership, strong electrical knowledge, and excellent communication to liaise with PMs, consultants, and trades.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and CSCS card required.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• Experience managing electrical packages on live sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Manage direct operatives and daily site activities.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Manage material deliveries, storage and allocation.
• Oversee electrical subcontractors on site.
• Monitor installation quality and QA procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants and other trades.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work.
