Job summary

Tilbury Douglas Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Appointed Person (Electrical) to lead safe electrical activities across London and the South East. The role combines SAP duties with testing, inspection and certification of electrical installations, ensuring records are meticulous and compliant with the Electrical Code of Practice.

Qualifications

• Approved electrician and qualified electrical tester with 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience testing, inspecting and certifying electrical installations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, regulations and industry standards.
• Well-organised communicator able to work independently across multiple projects and travel.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking Senior Appointed Person duties across multiple projects.
• Testing, inspecting and certifying electrical installations with accurate records.
• Carrying out monthly compliance inspections in London and the South East.
• Identify non-compliance and implement corrective actions with project teams.
• Maintain electronic compliance records and attend meetings; undertake general electrical installation work when SAP duties are not required.
