Job summary

1st Step Solutions is seeking an Electrical Tester/ Appointed Person to support multiple projects across London and the South East. The role combines 20–30% AP duties with testing and on-the-tools work, on a 43-hour week, with PAYE pay and uplift after 37.5 hours. This is a long-term position with potential to go permanent.

The role requires JIB Card, 2391/2394/5, 18th Edition, First Aid and SMSTS, as well as prior Appointed Person experience and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• JIB Card | Approved Electrician
• 2391 or 2394/5
• 18th Edition
• First Aid (can be arranged by the client)
• SMSTS (can be arranged by the client)
• Previous experience as an Appointed Person
• CV
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK
• two recent references confirming similar duties

Responsibilities

• Testing and certification of electrical installations where required or requested.
• General electrical installation when there is no testing or SAP duties.
• A monthly inspection of all electrical projects in London and south east region to ensure compliance with company code of practice is being maintained.
• IT skills to maintain records of all testing and inspection in relation to the code of practice and feeding into database if required.
• Attendance to any meeting required under the SAP role and Liaison with SAP manager

1st Step Solutions are looking for an Electrical Tester/ Appointed Person to work across multiple projects in London, this is a long term position, to be taken on directly later.

This is a combination role where 20-30% of the role is AP work and the rest is testing and on the tools.
