Job summary

Tokamak Energy Ltd, a UK-based fusion energy leader, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to own electrical safety governance across a diverse site. You will maintain the Low Voltage Electrical Safety Policy, advise leadership on compliance with EAWR 1989 and BS 7671, and lead investigations into incidents, ensuring safe, reliable delivery of our experimental and industrial programme.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Recognised Authorising Engineer training and/or SAP(LV) experience.
• Proven experience managing electrical safe working practice in complex environments.
• Knowledge of EAWR 1989 and BS 7671 and their implementation.
• Ability to translate policies into practical instructions and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and audit the Low Voltage Electrical Safety Policy on site.
• Provide independent assurance on compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.
• Deliver technical bulletins, toolbox talks and briefings; keep procedures aligned with guidance.
• Lead an audit programme covering policy, safe systems of work, documentation and contractor management.
• Lead investigations into electrical incidents and report findings to leadership.
