Job summary

Tokamak Energy Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical safety governance and the authorisation framework across our site.

The role reports to engineering leadership and provides authoritative guidance on LV/HV safety, enabling safe delivery of our experimental and industrial programme. You will maintain the Low Voltage Electrical Safety Policy, audit compliance with EAWR 1989 and BS 7671, and lead electrical incident investigations

Qualifications

• Recognised Authorising Engineer training or experience (LV).
• Proven experience with electrical safe working practices in complex environments.
• Knowledge of EAWR 1989 and BS 7671 and their practical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and audit the Low Voltage Electrical Safety Policy and safe systems of work.
• Provide independent assurance on compliance with legislation and standards.
• Lead electrical incident investigations and related reporting.
• Define training and re‑assessment requirements for staff.
• Administer the framework for authorising personnel to carry out electrical work.
• Advi se on high‑voltage safety policy and contractor management.
