Job Description:

Client: Our client is a nationally renowned M&E Contractor with a turnover exceeding £250M. They have multiple offices nationwide and serve clients ranging from end users to large main contractors such as Kier, Morgan Sindall, Wates, and Carillion. They specialize in technically challenging projects in sectors including Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Residential, and R&D. Following the appointment of a major project in London, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager for their operations team.

The successful candidate will manage a £25M M&E package within their discipline, reporting to a Project Director. The project involves a new build commercial block. Key responsibilities include ensuring the project is completed on time, with high quality, and within budget.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Design Management (reviewing designs, liaising with clients, main contractors, and consultants)
• Procurement of subcontractors, kits, and plant
• RFIs – liaising with client teams, main contractors, and subcontractors
• Value Engineering where applicable
• Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta Project
• Health & Safety management (RAMs)
• Commercial responsibilities, including assisting with subcontractor variation accounts alongside the project-specific Quantity Surveyor
• Management of variations
• Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers, and supervisors)
• Progress meetings with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams
• Overseeing commissioning stages
• Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in the commercial sector
• Managing projects of at least £20M within your discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience
• Experience working with main contractors such as Wates, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine, and Mace is preferred
