Job summary

Wates Group in Trafford Park, Manchester, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the electrical services on technically complex MEP projects across the Northwest. You will drive design management, procurement, commissioning, and client handover, ensuring safety, quality, programme performance, and commercial control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical services engineering elements of projects from pre-construction through to completion, including design management, procurement, commissioning, and client handover.
• Lead the delivery of electrical works on site, ensuring safety, quality, programme performance, and commercial control, while liaising with project stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise throughout the project lifecycle, identifying solutions to engineering challenges and driving best practice across electrical installations.
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams, ensuring works meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team, promoting collaboration with wider MEP and construction teams.
