Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead for a UK renewable energy leader to own the electrical function across the business, focusing on utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects. This senior role sets electrical standards, provides technical direction, leads a growing team, and partners with project teams, subcontractors and DNOs from tender through to grid energisation.

You will ensure quality, safety, and ISO readiness while developing policies and the in-house

Qualifications

Lead and set electrical standards and direction across the business.
Develop and maintain electrical policies, procedures and working practices.
Support ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditation as the electrical SME.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the electrical function, setting technical standards and direction across the business.
Recruit, mentor, and performance‑manage electrical and commissioning staff as the department grows.
Act as the primary escalation point for electrical technical issues across the business.
Ensure electrical installations comply with BS 7671, CDM 2015, and UK legislation including BESS requirements.
Lead DNO engagement from grid connection through to G99 testing and energisation.
Coordinate and witness G99 commissioning tests with DNOs.
