Job summary

TGS International Group seeks an Electrical Lead to take technical ownership of the electrical engineering function across major data centre and mission-critical projects. This senior role requires leadership across data centre environments, with responsibility for design strategy and engineering governance.

The role demands leading complex HV/MV/LV infrastructure, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and mentoring senior engineers while shaping electrical standards for major developments.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior experience leading electrical design for data centres.
• Proven ability to shape electrical standards and governance.
• Strong track record engaging clients and directing multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design strategy from concept to handover for major data centre projects.
• Provide technical authority for electrical systems and review HV/MV/LV infrastructure.
• Develop power distribution architectures and resilience strategies (N, N+1, 2N, 2N+1).
• Oversee substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical power.
• Lead utility connections and engagement with DNOs and other providers.
• Coordinate with mechanical, controls, BMS, ICT, structural and civil teams.
• Chair design reviews, value engineering and ensure quality standards.
• Mentor engineers and support bids, proposals and client presentations.
