Job summary

Glanua is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead tender costings for wastewater treatment projects in the UK. The role involves preparation of detailed electrical estimates, collaboration with design and procurement teams, and delivering compliant, cost-effective bids for AMP8 frameworks with major water utilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Estimating within water/wastewater or related infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record in developing accurate, competitive mechanical estimates for complex treatment plant projects.
• Experience working with UK water companies is strongly preferred.
• Advanced analytical and numerical capability with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, accurate electrical estimates based on drawings and tender documentation.
• Engage in design development to assess buildability and installation methods.
• Follow risk management, governance processes and provide clear assumptions for decisions.
• Assist in Tender Preparation and programmes with planning/discipline leads.
• Work with procurement to identify suppliers and negotiate terms for materials and subcontract services.
• Maintain awareness of sector developments and market trends to strengthen tender competitiveness.
• Develop financial models for framework submissions and commercial scenario analysis.
• Use standard cost coding to support cost capture and future estimating accuracy.
