Blakley Electrics is seeking a Technical Estimating Manager for its Harlow facility. You will manage technical enquiries, assess requirements, and develop practical, compliant and commercially viable solutions.

The role combines technical engineering with commercial activity, supporting projects from initial assessment through to quotation and tender submission. Strong customer-facing skills and leadership in a technical team are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background in Construction, Building Services, Military or Rail.
• Recognised electrical qualifications listed (City & Guilds 2396, 2391; 18th Edition Mod 4).
• Experience estimating, producing quotations and/or tendering for electrical projects.
• Good commercial awareness, balancing technical requirements with project costs and customer expectations.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and project requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical product support and guidance to customers, contractors and electrical installers.
• Review and assess new enquiries, establish technical requirements and develop solutions.
• Prepare project estimates and assess costs, materials and technical requirements.
• Produce detailed and commercially competitive quotations.
• Lead the technical input into tenders and electrical projects.
• Review specifications, drawings and project requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure clear understanding and delivery of projects.
• Provide authoritative technical guidance and support to colleagues and customers.
