Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Electrical & Engineering Manager to lead electrical and mechanical estates activities across its portfolio. You will oversee in-house and contracted teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery within HTM standards.

The role requires strong electrical expertise, HTM knowledge and leadership to support strategic planning and safe, efficient operations across multiple sites in the West Midlands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical estates management.
• Knowledge of HTM guidance and statutory compliance.
• Leadership of in-house and contractor maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance operations.
• Provide expert electrical and engineering advice for estates matters.
• Ensure HTM compliance and safe work procedures are followed.
• Support strategic planning of the estates services and resource needs.
• Act as HTM authorised person for key electrical services.
