Job summary

Airswift seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Farnborough to provide client-side technical authority for a major processing plant project in the feasibility study and execution phases.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, 10+ years of experience in industrial electrical systems, and strong leadership to manage EPCM interfaces, governance, and risk across multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid work arrangement in the UK is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or membership with a recognised UK institution.
• Minimum 10 years' experience as a registered Electrical Engineer.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale industrial, mining, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Experience working within an Owner's Team environment.
• Strong EPCM project experience, including engineering development, procurement, vendor management, contract management, and site support.
• Experience with projects exceeding $500M total installed cost.
• Strong understanding of international electrical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with HAZID/HAZOP and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Aconex.
• Strong BIM knowledge and data-centric delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Owner's technical authority for Electrical and Power Systems engineering scopes.
• Ensure deliverables are safe, fit-for-purpose, constructible, operable, and aligned with objectives.
• Lead technical reviews and provide engineering assurance across feasibility and execution phases.
• Review and validate contractor deliverables for compliance with standards and governance.
• Support project decision gates by ensuring engineering maturity and readiness for approval.
• Ensure designs support constructability, operability, safety, and sustainability.
• Coordinate engineering changes and interfaces across disciplines.
• Identify and manage technical, operational, and safety risks.
• Support procurement, vendor engagement, and long-lead equipment planning.
• Ensure alignment with schedules and budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
