Job summary
Ethos Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to lead electrical upgrades in live data centre environments across EMEA. You will design, specify, and deliver sophisticated systems while maintaining operations and safety standards.
You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and contractors, and contribute to business development for retrofit opportunities. A strong BIM and electrical discipline background is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in building services engineering, with 3+ years in data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Experience working in live data centre environments and brownfield upgrades.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design for live data centre environments.
- Manage retrofit strategies, including live system tie-ins, outages, and resilience design.
- Conduct technical due diligence of data centre facilities and prepare design documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support client/contractor communications.
- Drive quality assurance and governance across projects, with safety protocols.
