Job summary

Carrington West seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Oxford office to lead electrical design within a multidisciplinary Building Services team. You will deliver high‑quality designs, coordinate across feasibility, planning and construction, and ensure alignment with client requirements.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage workloads, and contribute to project delivery, financial forecasting, and business development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Membership of CIBSE, IET, or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Proven experience delivering electrical building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical design solutions across feasibility to construction stages.
• Lead electrical design activities and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients to establish briefs, objectives and budget requirements.
• Prepare detailed specifications, calculations, and drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
