Senior Electrical Engineer: Lead Multidisciplinary Projects

Job summary

Arup is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer on a 6-month contract, based in Leeds with potential to work across Manchester, Whitehaven, Warrington, Glasgow or Newcastle. You will lead CE&I projects, provide technical guidance, mentor engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant electrical designs for complex infrastructure.

Strong client-facing skills and knowledge of BS 7671 are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Knowledge of electrical design standards and codes.
• Experience in regulated, quality-controlled environments.
• Strong client liaison skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• MV / LV power design and distribution.
• Building services systems including fire alarm, security, lighting design.
• Control & Instrumentation systems.
• Lead and manage project teams.
• Engage with clients in construction environments.
• Apply analytical problem solving across projects.
