Job summary

StandardX is building a compact particle accelerator and its supporting infrastructure. We seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, from concept through operation, owning power distribution, earthing and protection.

You will work on-site at our London-area facility, partner with controls, RF and mechanical specialists, mentor juniors, and drive safety and compliance across the EC&I scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering with strong power systems knowledge.
• Experience delivering end-to-end electrical designs in complex facilities.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (BS 7671) and safety practices.
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture, distribution, protection and earthing across the facility.
• Own installation testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis onsite.
• Coordinate with controls, RF, mechanical and nuclear teams.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers, and contribute to design guides.
