Job summary

Radius is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their client based in London. You will deliver electrical systems for data centres, review commissioning plans and optimise efficiency, quality, resilience and reliability of critical infrastructure.

You will oversee project drawings, ensure compliance with legislation and ISO standards, and lead electrical installations from design through handover across critical systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree required.
• BTEC/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 17th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent certification.
• Industry training in generator controls, UPS, AC/DC power, switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Draft specification documents for new build or electrical projects.
• Commissioning of upgrades and new builds; lead electrical elements and sign off.
• Create/compare commissioning scripts for FATs, SATs, IST.
• Organise and attend FATs; witness SATs as required.
• Document FATs/SATs processes in line with best practice.

Job description

Radius is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their client based in London. You must have experience with critical infrastructure such as UPS, AC / DC, Switchgear etc.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting the project team with the delivery and handover of Data Centres, reviewing and understanding of commissioning plans, optimising electrical systems to provide efficiency, quality, resilience and reliability across essential and critical systems, ensuring that all electrical works follow legislation and relevant ISO standards.

This role is responsible for providing electrical engineering services and guidance on all of electrical systems and ensure correct operation within the Data Centre facilities specifications.

Oversee Project drawings and specifications, to ensure compliance with all legislation, and responsible for project delivery of electrical installations, electrical distribution and power generation.

• Responsible for drafting specification documents for new build and or any other electrical projects.
• Responsible the commissioning of existing upgrades and new builds; leading electrical elements where required and the sign-off of electrical systems.
• Create/collaborate on commissioning test scripts for electrical elements for FATs, SATS and IST
• Organise and attend any necessary Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and witness electrical Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Document FATs and SATs process and procedure in line with best practice.
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• A BTEC, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or anther relevant discipline
• 17th Edition certified or similar electrical qualification
• Ideally industry or manufacturer training in generator controls, UPS systems, AC and DC power & switchgear
