Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure for Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead electrical infrastructure design for large-scale commercial and residential developments, ensuring power distribution, lighting, and LV systems meet safety and codes.

You will coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors, supervise consultants, perform load calculations, and ensure compliance with SANS standards. A hybrid on-site and remote management model is offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering with building services and infrastructure.
• Experience in designing electrical systems for commercial, retail, and high-rise buildings.
• Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, standby power, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, DIALux and related tools.
• Familiar with SANS 10142 and SANS 10114 standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure for new building projects, including power distribution, standby power, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports compliant with national standards and building codes.
• Manage electrical consultants and contractors, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services and works.
• Conduct site inspections and supervisions to monitor progress and resolve technical challenges during construction.
• Perform electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, and system design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and municipal regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated building services design.
• Review and approve electrical design submissions from external parties.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to completion.
• Assist in the development of maintenance strategies for newly established electrical infrastructure.

• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) is highly preferred.
