Senior Electrical Engineer - HV/LV Infra (On-Site)

Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support major infrastructure and transportation projects in Leatherhead. You will lead HV/LV power systems design from feasibility through to construction and commissioning, working within a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver calculations, reports, drawings and specifications, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems and electrical building services.
• Experience delivering projects within complex infrastructure or transportation environments.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and calculations.
• Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver electrical engineering designs and technical solutions.
• Produce design calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Undertake HV and LV electrical system design, including power distribution, earthing and bonding, load assessments and protection schemes.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and design assurance processes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning phases.
• Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Prepare progress reports and present technical information to project teams and clients.
• Mentor and support junior engineers where required.
