Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Leeds is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across varied high-profile projects in the built environment. You will collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable electrical solutions from concept to completion.

The role offers hybrid working, a supportive team, and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while handling design leadership on larger schemes.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience delivering electrical designs within the built environment.
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency/standby systems.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux, OM Electrical or similar.
• IEng/CEng status or a willingness to work towards professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Delivering electrical design projects from brief through to completion.
• Producing calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Working across LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency/standby systems.
• Coordinating designs with MEP disciplines, specialist consultants and contractors.
• Reviewing contractor submissions and checking installations on site.
• Attending client and design team meetings.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover.
• Managing your workload and delivering projects to programme and quality standards.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
