Job summary

Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Sustainability Engineering to define and improve electrical infrastructure standards across European facilities. The role focuses on EV charging, HV (up to 24 kV) and LV systems, and resilient grid design with a focus on scalable, sustainable energy solutions.

You will drive end-to-end deployment of sustainability technologies, develop procurement processes, and own budgeting and forecasting for the programmes across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in design projects and industrial engineering domains.
• Experience using business or technical software.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop electrical equipment standards with manufacturers and stakeholders.
• Perform design validation and ensure compliance during installation and commissioning.
• SME for LV and HV up to 24 kV electrical systems.
• Define requirements for EV charging network infrastructure and smart grid deployments.
• Drive the technology roadmap for electrical infrastructure including EV chargers and substations.
• Develop business cases and secure leadership approval for investments.
• Coordinate with programme managers for quality and standards compliance.
• Improve processes in commissioning, audit, value engineering, and cost control.
