Job summary

Egis is seeking a Lead Electrical / EICA Engineer to shape the future of water infrastructure in the UK. Join a high-growth UK Water team delivering major water and wastewater programmes with a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment.

Role involves acting as discipline lead, driving design strategy, mentoring engineers, and contributing to bids and client engagement. Hybrid working across London, Bristol or Manchester is available.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional institution.
• Typically 7–10+ years’ relevant experience in water/wastewater design.
• Proven ability to act as discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong technical expertise and ability to review and approve complex design outputs.
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on water/wastewater projects through the full design lifecycle.
• Act as discipline technical lead, owning design strategy and key technical decisions.
• Review and approve discipline deliverables including calculations, specifications, reports, models and drawings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs into practical treatment solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, value engineering and design reviews.
• Mentor and manage engineers, supporting recruitment and chartership progression.
• Contribute to business development and client engagement.
