Job summary

Egis is expanding its UK Water team and seeking a Lead Electrical / EICA Engineer to shape major water and wastewater programs. You will drive design delivery, define technical strategy, mentor engineers, and help grow the discipline across national projects.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional institution.
• Typically 7-10+ years’ relevant experience in water/wastewater or related design.
• Experience acting as discipline lead or senior technical lead on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and delivery models.
• Experience mentoring or managing engineers and supporting capability development.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater treatment projects across full design lifecycle.
• Act as discipline technical lead, owning design strategy, interfaces, risks and deliverable quality.
• Review and approve discipline deliverables including calculations, reports and models.
• Coordinate Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural inputs and ensure integrated solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, optioneering, value engineering and client engagement.
• Promote lean, digitally enabled delivery with simulation, data analysis and reusable templates.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk, scope and resourcing.
• Mentor and manage engineers; support recruitment and chartership progression.
• Contribute to bids, client proposals and growth of the discipline capability.
