Job summary

BGEN Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to provide design and technical support for major UK projects. You will deliver high-quality electrical installation designs, coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with BS7671 and client specifications.

The role involves LV power systems, switchgear, earthing, lighting, fire and security systems, and EV charging infrastructure.

Qualifications

Degree in electrical engineering or comparable demonstratable experience.
Chartership through a professional institution desirable.
Proven delivery of electrical installation designs for major UK projects.
Strong experience on UK-based construction projects.
Knowledge of BS7671 and client specifications.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical engineering design and technical support for safe, efficient project delivery.
Produce high-quality design documentation and coordinate with internal disciplines and subcontractors.
Support delivery against quality, cost, and programme objectives; drive continuous improvement.
Deliver design and site support for LV power systems, switchgear, earthing, lighting, fire and security systems, cabling, UPS, EV charging, and hazardous area installations.
Interface with Mechanical, Process, HVAC and Civil teams for integrated outcomes.
