Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior engineer to join its Building Engineering Services Group in London. You will lead design efforts for mission-critical datacentre projects, coordinating CAD work, and managing cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, monitor project budgets, and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in designing & managing mission critical, data centre projects.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Experience monitoring contract staff or third-party appointments preferred.
• Ability to model, organise and direct CAD drawings and coordinate with other consultants.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project monthly spend and CAD requirements with design reviews.
• Ensure design work meets quality standards and undergoes in-house reviews.
• Maintain client relationships and manage expectations to secure repeat business.
• Develop new business opportunities and participate in company presentations.
• Lead and develop staff, set objectives, and monitor performance.
