Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive Building Services design within our Consulting Built Environment team. You will lead a technical team, conduct surveys, shape design briefs, and provide oversight across projects for MoD, NHS, and local authorities.

You will work across rail, education and housing sectors with hybrid working options and a focus on delivering robust engineering solutions and safe, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS card holder with relevant professional credentials.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Building Services design and supervise junior staff.
• Oversee designs, calculations and documentation to meet quality, cost and programme objectives.
• Engage with clients and senior stakeholders to present technical and commercial submissions.
• Manage risks, interfaces and design coordination across projects.
