A little more about your role…

• Meeting the requirements of a Senior Electrical Engineer grade with a proven track record in project delivery.
• Providing design and technical advice within a multidisciplinary MEP team, acting as a project manager.
• Reviewing design programmes and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
• Working independently on technical aspects or with specific specialist experience.
• Interpreting client needs and aligning project delivery accordingly.
• Promoting WSP’s capabilities regionally.
• Supervising detailed design completion and guiding team members.
• Assessing project feasibility specific to the discipline and leading feasibility studies.
• Directing the production of detailed and performance specifications.
• Managing and developing junior staff.

• Cardiff Building Services includes 20 engineers and sustainability consultants within a 400-strong MEP team.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

ELECTRICAL SKILLS:

• Low voltage distribution systems
• Cable calculations (ElectricalOM, Amtech, or manual)
• Lighting calculations (software and manual)
• Energy lighting, small power, fire detection & alarm, intruder detection, access control & security systems, disabled call systems, data cabling, lightning protection

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE

• BEng/BSc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline
• Chartership or working towards it (CIBSE, IET, Engineering Council)
• Proven project delivery experience in Building Services
• Client and team engagement skills
• Effective technical communication and graphical skills
• Understanding of relevant regulations and calculations
• Proficiency with electrical design software and Revit MEP
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC)
