Job summary

Hoare Lea in Oxford is seeking a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join the Operational Assets team. You will lead delivery on a varied UK-based portfolio of existing building projects, focusing on decarbonisation, performance improvements and energy reduction.

The role combines design, site supervision and client liaison, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and influence project outcomes. We offer a strong benefits package, flexible working and a path toward chartered status.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Strong knowledge of data and metering.
• Experience with performance specification and detailed design work, contract administration and site duties.
• Experience in Building Services collectively (all-rounder).
• Willingness and strong technical knowledge in primary engineering discipline and good understanding of the secondary engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Secure new projects and service clients while planning the specialist delivery of the Operational Assets group.
• Focus on work delivery, organisational support and team growth.
• Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver a variety of projects.
• Recruit, train and develop team members for growth.
• Undertake design, specification and site monitoring.
• Monitor commissioning and post-occupancy activities.
• Prepare feasibility reports, investigations and surveys.
• Liaise with clients and project managers.
