JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Winchester to lead building services design for a multidisciplinary consultancy. You will manage electrical engineering across defence, healthcare, education and commercial projects, delivering technical solutions and mentoring junior staff.

The role is full-time with hybrid and flexible working. A degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering is required, with Chartered Engineer status ideally pursued, and a strong vehicle

• Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or contractor.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
• Experience producing electrical calculations and specifications.
• Proficient with Amtech, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience across multiple sectors.
• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across sectors.

• Develop designs using CAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux.
• Attend client meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Present designs for reviews and peer checks.

• Manage projects from inception to completion.

Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer role in Winchester, leading building services design for a multidisciplinary consultancy. This full‑time permanent position involves managing electrical engineering across defence, healthcare, education and commercial projects, developing technical solutions, overseeing delivery, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a range of sectors.
• Produce detailed electrical design solutions, calculations and technical documentation.
• Develop designs using industry‑standard software, including CAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux and Relux.
• Attend client meetings and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Present designs for stage reviews and technical peer reviews.
• Undertake condition surveys and produce technical reports.
• Carry out third‑party design reviews where required.
• Manage projects from inception to completion.
• Work collaboratively with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with current legislation, Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
