Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP in Winchester is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who is creative, self-motivated and forward thinking. You will work on diverse projects across sectors, producing electrical design calculations and designs in CAD/REVIT, attending client meetings and contributing to stage reviews.

Qualifications

• An accredited Building Services degree or higher is required.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to articulate complex issues to clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings and present designs.
• Produce electrical design calculations and be conversant in Amtech, Dialux, and Relux.
• Develop designs in CAD and REVIT and review with peers.
• Lead and participate in stage reviews and peer reviews of designs.
• Undertake site condition surveys and contract management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate across sectors on diverse projects including theatres, high-rise, and healthcare.

Are you a creative, self motivated and forward thinking Electrical Design Engineer, looking for a challenge?

Role And Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings
• Produce all electrical design calculations and be conversant in Amtech, Dialux, and Relux
• Produce designs in CAD and REVIT
• Be able to present designs for stage / peer review
• Undertake condition surveys
• Undertake third party review of designs
• Attend and manage contracts from inception to completion
• Have experience across a wide range of sectors

Experience And Skills Required

To be successful in this role you will have an accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification and experience in a similar role. Ideally chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status with a suitable institution.

You will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating a high level diligence and organisational skills.
