Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend, on a rate of £57,360 to £63,104/annum PAYE. This role will be based on-site, 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
The postholder shall provide support to the organisation’s Head of Professional and Technical Services, offering strategic direction and delivering electrical and specialist systems design advice. The role involves acting as a design champion, maintaining and reviewing design standards, providing project-specific guidance, and ensuring high-quality outcomes in project delivery. The postholder will promote quality design to contribute to the organisation’s goals and ensure positive outcomes for users of the organisation’s buildings and estate. Additionally, they will coordinate business and design improvement initiatives and maintain contact with other teams or sites.
Technical support will be provided to Project Managers and Maintenance teams on design, operation, maintenance, and safety of mechanical and electrical systems. The role includes inspecting installed systems and auditing work practices to ensure statutory compliance and safe operating conditions. The postholder will also provide specialist knowledge to ensure the organisation's compliance across its high-voltage network.
