Job summary

Ayesa Engineering, a global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical installations for water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will manage drawings, specifications and calculations, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and engaging clients to ensure compliant, value-driven solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in water/wastewater, Chartered status and a degree in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.
  • Has achieved Chartered status
  • A degree and ideally master’s in electrical engineering
  • Extensive water and wastewater project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design and construction support
  • Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specification
  • Producing plant electrical layouts, technical specifications, equipment schedules, single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, calculations and control philosophies.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, check and approve engineering reports, designs, drawings, technical specifications and calculations.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Integrate within a multi-disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions.
  • Interface with mechanical, civil, process and structural disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and senior staff.
  • Manage a challenging workload.
  • Represent and promote Ayesa professionally and develop client relationships.
  • Manage projects in line with IMS.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Able to take full responsibility for producing, checking and approving engineering reports, designs, drawings, technical specifications and calculations
  • Ability to coordinate, liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders
  • Integrate within our multi-disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions to clients
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, civil, process and structural
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior staff
  • Ability to manage a challenging workload.
  • A team player with a mature approach including first-class inter-personal skills
  • Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health & Safety Regulations
  • Represent and promote Ayesa in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients
  • Management of projects in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Responsible for the design of electrical installations typically including municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Assessing existing and proposed capacities, load schedules and power supply requirements.
  • Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades and connections.
What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.
  • Has achieved Chartered status
  • A degree and ideally master’s in electrical engineering
  • Extensive water and wastewater project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design and construction support
  • Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specification
  • Producing plant electrical layouts, technical specifications, equipment schedules, single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, calculations and control philosophies. and P&IDs
  • Proven track record in the development of electrical solutions in industrial and municipal settings, and in accordance with specifications used in Ireland and United Kingdom with strong understanding of relevant electrical specifications and WIMES standards.
  • Proven track record in electrical selection, electrical design, application engineering, proposal support and operational support
  • Proven track record in the development of the whole cycle of the electrical design from the concept to the detailed design stage
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions
  • Has a strong work ethic, capable of working on their own initiative with proven strong problem-solving skills
  • Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aim to exceed client expectations
