A rare and significant opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join one of Scotland's largest and most complex heavy industrial manufacturing sites, based in Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
This is a senior technical role sitting within the Maintenance Department - providing electrical engineering expertise and technical authority across a major industrial plant, supporting the safe operation, reliability and continuous improvement of the site's electrical infrastructure.
You will act as the primary technical authority for electrical systems across the site, covering everything from substations and power distribution through to motors, drives, UPS, control systems and overhead cranes. You will lead and support capital and operational projects, manage reliability improvement programmes, participate in HAZOPs and safety reviews, and provide senior technical guidance to electrical engineers, electricians, technicians and contractors.
