Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Electrical Plant Technician for an Alloa-based production facility. The role covers electrical maintenance, fault finding, and support across the main site and satellite locations, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate has Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualifications or a recognised apprenticeship, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in a process plant or industrial manufacturing setting.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of HV/LV systems and industrial equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with SAP or similar CMMS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and fault finding on industrial electrical equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns and operational activities.

Electrical Plant Technician

Alloa, Scotland

£40,000 - £42,000 + Company Car + On-Call Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

A leading industrial engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Plant Technician to join its operations team based in Alloa. This is a varied position combining electrical maintenance, process plant operations, fault finding and site support across a major production facility and multiple satellite sites throughout Scotland.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of critical industrial equipment while playing an important part in ensuring safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, support major maintenance activities and contribute to the ongoing performance of both the main facility and customer-based satellite plants.

The Role

• Service, maintenance and fault finding on industrial electrical equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns and operational activities

The Candidate

Package

• £40,000 - £42,000 basic salary plus company car
• 5% annual bonus and 10% on-call allowance
• 39-hour working week with 1-in-4 on-call rota
