Job summary

CIBSE Journal is seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our UK-wide, hybrid role. You will deliver electrical design across water and wastewater schemes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, deliverable solutions.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical Engineering, design lifecycle experience, and familiarity with AMP projects. Travel may be required, with flexibility for office or site visits every fortnight.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering projects through the full design lifecycle, from inception through to detailed design.
• Experience in UK Water or Wastewater projects, AMP-related schemes.
• Ability to take technical responsibility for smaller projects and work packages.
• Experience designing electrical solutions for water infrastructure.
• Experience using 3D design tools and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver feasibility, outline, detailed and final electrical design work.
• Review electrical designs, technical specs, proposals and submissions.
• Take technical responsibility for smaller projects and design tasks.
• Support design reviews for Water Authority AMP projects.
• Work on water treatment works, wastewater facilities, pumping stations and reservoirs.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Support projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
