Job summary

DMW Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for an established Teesside consultancy. You will lead electrical design across LV and HV distribution up to 33kV, perform studies, site surveys and deliver complete design packages for build and commissioning.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage supplier enquiries, and take ownership of technical delivery, budgets and programmes. Applicants should have 6+ years in electrical engineering, a degree in Electrical Power

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electrical design experience in engineering consultancy or industry.
• Degree-level qualification in Electrical Power Engineering is required.
• Experience with HV and LV electrical systems and studies.
• Proficient with SKM Power Tools, ETAP and AutoCAD.
• Ability to lead, coordinate and mentor project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for LV/HV distribution up to 33kV.
• Conduct power earthing studies and fault level calculations.
• Coordinate protection schemes and load flow analyses.
• Perform arc energy and transient analyses.
• Carry out site surveys, calculations and data collection.
• Prepare drawings, line diagrams, schedules and specs.
• Develop complete design packages for build/commissioning.
• Produce technical reports and project documentation.
• Manage project equipment, procurement and supplier enquiries.
• Review supplier quotations and bid appraisals.
• Lead suppliers, subcontractors, and internal resources.
• Ensure delivery meets technical, budget and programme targets.
• Support tender estimates and client proposals.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and mentorship.
