Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a dynamic engineering group based near Wakefield. The role is 100% onsite with a 37.5-hour week, offering strong collaboration with production and multiple departments to deliver high-quality electrical designs.

You will manage concept through production release, perform technical calculations, and ensure standards compliance. Competitive package includes up to £55,000 and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Electrical design, design analysis, technical calculations and integration of electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD), with a solid DFM and tolerancing understanding.
• Proven track record delivering technical projects to tight timescales with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs from concept through to production release.
• Deliver electrical engineering solutions across multiple projects to meet timescales and budgets.
• Use specialist software to perform calculations and develop cost-effective designs.
• Ensure compliance with BS, ISO standards and company procedures.
• Review design work for technical accuracy and provide guidance to the team.
• Conduct machinery risk assessments and input on design strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
