Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own the industrial AC power architecture as the company scales from 1MW to multi‑MW plants, with relocation assistance and a salary range of £100,000 to £140,000 plus shares.

You will design electrical systems across reactors, electrolyzers and subsystems, ensure regulatory compliance (CE/UKCA) and mentor junior engineers within a lean, high-ownership team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in industrial electrical design.
• Knowledge of IEC 61508 and functional safety in regulated environments.
• Experience with power systems, control panels and hazard analyses.

Responsibilities

• Own the full AC power system architecture for megawatt-scale plants.
• Produce schematics, protection strategies, cable sizing and panel designs.
• Lead safety system work including HAZOPs/HAZIDs and IEC 61508 compliance.
• Commission solar arrays and RNG plant electrical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and support field tasks.
