Job summary

CIBSE Journal is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Leeds team. The role focuses on developing control system designs, coordinating engineering resources, and ensuring successful interfacing with production and installation teams.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least five years' design experience, with strong AutoCAD Electrical skills and knowledge of low voltage motor control applications. Based in Leeds with attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree-level or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' electrical design experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with control systems design and low voltage applications.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and specifications for control systems across the product portfolio.
• Coordinate site, application and design engineering resources to meet project requirements.
• Interface between design, production, procurement and installation/commissioning teams to optimise costs.
• Manage project content with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation and engineering output to budget.
• Attend customer sites and liaise with customer engineering representatives as required.
